Papa John’s Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons fast rising yeast or one envelope
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast, and salt, blending well. Add oil and water gradually, until well moistened, and then stir until a smooth batter is created. Add additional flour by hand until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  2. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead in more flour until a smooth, elastic dough is created. Cover loosely with plastic and allow to rest about fifteen minutes in a warm place.
  3. Preheat convection oven to 375 degrees F.
  4. Press dough into two twelve inch pizza pans and prick with a fork. Allow to rest for ten to fifteen minutes in a warm place.
  5. Brush crusts with oil and prebake for five minutes.
  6. Top as you wish, then bake again until crust is crisp and cheese is melted.
